THIRD PARTY INTEREST BASED ADVERTISING, AND HOW TO OPT OUT.
Pixel tags can also be known as “clear gifs” or “web beacons” and they allow us and these third parties to recognise a cookie previously placed on a browser when it visits the site or portion of the site, on which the pixel tag is located. This allows us and the third parties to learn which specific advertisement brought a user to a given site.
For example, if a company had placed advertisements on both Facebook and Google, and had seen an increase in the number of site visits they were receiving, the pixel tag allows them to tell which ones were from Facebook and which were from Google. This allows them to see where their advertising money is best spent.
We may also receive Other Information, in a similar way from companies that we advertise with and/ or their service providers such as IP addresses, post-conversion data and advertising identifiers.
Neither Alcohop nor any third party acting on our behalf employs any form of behavioural based advertising or targeting aimed at or in connection with individuals under the age of 18. Users under the age of 18 are not permitted on our Sites at any time.
If you would like to opt out of third party interest-based advertising there are a number of sites that can help you.
